DIR DAY APRIL 29, 2007

SCHEDULE: BOAT 1 AM TRIP - USCG DUANE

BOAT 2 PM TRIP - US NAVY LSD 32 SPIEGEL GROVE

The Spiegel just keeps getting better..

Sunday 29 April gave us near perfect weather conditions for a day playing in the ocean. Air temps in the 90's, flat seas and no wind were a welcome reminder that spring is really here! Out to the Duane for the first dive, with team 1 (AJ, Chris and Solo) dropping into the current to drift onto the stern ball of the wreck. The current was ripping, so it was off to the Spiegel for plan B! The conditions at the Grove were excellent with no current, so all teams eagerly splashed in for an awesome dive.

Thanks to Captain Bob for running the boat and to Pat for providing top notch food at the dock as usual. Thanks again to my wife Alison, who covered for me in the shop while I got to dive the Spiegel! Big thanks to all the divers who came down and made it such a fun day - see you all on the next one!
